The Parish School of Religion
|
The Parish School of Religion provides the "academic" aspect of the religious education program. The curriculum for those in grades 1-8 is the Blest Are We program offered during a two-week summer module or monthly during the school year. Those in grades 9-12 meet for two six-week sessions using materials from St. Mary’s Press. The organization of the Blest Are We
program is based on the four pillars of the Catechism of the
Catholic Church: What Catholics Believe, How Catholics
Worship, How Catholics Live, and How Catholics Pray. The summer
module option for young people entering grades 1-8 The high school program is a cluster program for young people in grades 9-12. High school students meet for six sessions in the Fall and for six sessions in the Winter/Spring. Adult education is provided during Advent and Lent and is announced in the parish bulletin.
