The Parish School of Religion

The Parish School of Religion provides the "academic" aspect of the religious education program. The curriculum for those in grades 1-8 is the Blest Are We program offered during a two-week summer module or monthly during the school year. Those in grades 9-12 meet for two six-week sessions using materials from St. Mary’s Press.

The organization of the Blest Are We program is based on the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church What Catholics Believe, How Catholics Worship, How Catholics Live, and How Catholics Pray. The summer module option for young people entering grades 1-8 meets for ten 3½-hour learning sessions over a two-week period. The school year option for young people in grades 1-8 meets for ten 2-hour learning sessions on a monthly basis beginning in September. Families choose the religious education option that works best for them.

The high school program is a cluster program for young people in grades 9-12. High school students meet for six sessions in the Fall and for six sessions in the Winter/Spring.

Adult education is provided during Advent and Lent and is announced in the parish bulletin.

Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation is conducted during the school year and is in addition to the grade level program.
